Thomas Stenquist is a Boston based artist. His sculptures are predominantly shaped from single sheets of recycled metal found in scrapyards, backyards, or left on his doorstep by those in the know. Each single piece is then folded, cut, bent, and hammered to have a certain presence — a form that stands alone. The process is improvisational and intuitive, minimal in concept and expressionistic in execution, both fluid and architectural in form.
