Rachael Cassiani

Rachael Cassiani is largely self-taught, with an intuitive sense of composition and color. Her paintings are a rich exploration of island land and seascapes, crafted in an abstracted style reminiscent of Cubist landscapes. She paints in a tight hand, controlling the composition by reducing it into brightly colored shapes that become multiple planes of harmonious colors. Rachael gravitates to colors that are vibrant and bold, while her placement of color is intentional and conveys a sophisticated understanding of color theory.
